Presenting Our First Resident Artist - Randy Perez
Randy Perez is a multimedia artist whose work merges a melody of cultural influences from urban cowboys, horses, graphic design and apparel, capturing a juxtaposition of ideas on canvas and paper, all which jockey from prominence. Many of Randy’s influences are relevant elements of his social and physical upbringing in Minnesota, Mexico and Los Angeles where he now lives and works.
This project is centered around using our cafe elements as canvases (pizza boxes, parchment paper, menus, etc.). Randy considered each element independently and as part of a whole. The end result - collage, pattern and singular artwork all coming together seamlessly across these canvases.
Rounding out this collaborative effort, we made our iconic Great White hat with a Randy Perez twist using his apparel production arm ‘Uuuntitled’ The hat was produced entirely here in Los Angeles, CA.
