Server

Brentwood 

What We’re Looking For: 

A server at Great White is guest-oriented and service-minded. You play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the service and the guest’s experience. You have a positive attitude, always put the customer first, and are flexible while working under pressure to ensure seamless communication throughout service with the guests and Front and Back of the House. 

What You’ll Do:

You are responsible for following the Great White steps of service, understanding, educating, and upselling guests on all menu items, taking orders, and closing out tables. In addition, you collaborate with managers to complete pre and post-shift duties and are a supportive team member to all staff. 

Recommended Experience:

  1. 1+ years of experience in a similar role 

  2.  You bring energy, rigor, and curiosity to the role and use skills in multitasking, problem-solving, and a high degree of organization.

  3. You have experience in working in demanding and fast-paced environments

  4. You can deliver a serving sequence in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining consistency. 

  5. You have a SafeServe certificate. 

  6. You are a team player that is flexible and reliable with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  7. You have experience in Toast, Resy, 7Shifts, or other hospitality-driven technologies.

Host

What We’re Looking For: 

A Host at Great White provides the all-important first impression for the restaurant.  You have a positive attitude, always put the customer first, and are flexible while working under pressure to ensure seamless communication throughout service with the guests, servers, and management. You support the team with organizational efficiency in the flow of the restaurant and are great at building relationships with guests. 

What You’ll Do:

You are responsible for following the Great White hosting sequence,  greeting and seating guests, answering all incoming calls, organizing and creating reservations via Resy, and supporting other team members in clearing and resetting tables for arriving reservations and walk-ins.  In addition, you collaborate with managers to complete pre and post-shift duties and are a supportive team member to all staff. 

Recommended Experience:

  1. 1+ years of experience in a similar role 

  2.  You bring energy, rigor, and curiosity to the role and use skills in multitasking, problem-solving, and a high degree of organization.

  3. You have experience in working in demanding and fast-paced environments

Barista

What We’re Looking For: 

A Barista at Great White is a wizard at preparing coffee and nonalcoholic drinks while providing a memorable experience for all guests. You must have the ability to provide excellent customer service, professional behavior, and positive energy to create a fun environment that encourages guests to come back for more. To succeed as a barista, you have an engaging personality and are efficient, observant, and are deeply knowledgeable about coffee, with the ability to work well under pressure. 

What You’ll Do:

You are responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, greeting guests, creating relationships with repeat guests, learning their drink preferences, running food, and handling the coffee and beverage opening and closing procedures. In addition, you collaborate with managers to complete pre and post-shift duties and are a supportive team member to all staff.  

Recommended Experience:

  1. 2+ years of experience working as a Barista 

  2. You can produce latte art 

  3.  You bring energy, rigor, and curiosity to the role and use skills in multitasking, problem-solving, and a high degree of organization.

  4. You have experience in working in demanding and fast-paced environments

  5. You can deliver coffee and other beverages quickly and efficiently while maintaining consistency. 

  6. You have a SafeServe certificate.

Backserver

What We’re Looking For:

A busser and food runner at Great White is a critical player supporting the whole team during service. You portray the highest level of organization and have keen attention to detail, impeccable followthrough, and the ability to multitask and prioritize needs while maintaining composure, focus, and professionalism throughout service.  In addition, you collaborate with managers to complete pre and post-shift duties and are a supportive team member to all staff. 

What You’ll Do:

You are responsible for coordinating daily setup, clearing and resetting tables, delivering food quickly and professionally to guests in line with proper service standards. In addition, you assist servers with table requests and can take small food or drink orders if necessary.
